The Metropolitan North Area Command is located immediately north of Sydney and includes the urbanised coastal areas north of the Hawkesbury River to the southern Tomaree peninsula, the headland of Port Stephens. The Area continues to the west and includes parts of the Lower Hunter, including Dungog, and Branxton to the west.
