About the role:      

The Assistant Commissioner sets the strategic direction and leads the planning and delivery for FRNSW Metropolitan Operations. The role is accountable for the day-to-day service delivery of Metropolitan Operations including the delivery of prevention, fire suppression, hazmat, rescue and emergency services to industry and the community.

About you:

  • To be successful in the role, you will have:

    • Operational experience and expertise within an emergency services environment
    • Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary issues, challenges and approaches to emergency service
    • Exceptional leadership capability and presence
    • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills 
    • Demonstrated financial acumen
